The Artist - Katherine Cline

I have lived in Colorado for over 35 years. From early on, my artistic talent was a way for me to express my view of the world. My surroundings have provided me with plentiful subject matter. From mountain streams to mesa views, I have never run out of extraordinary things to paint. For as long as I can remember, I have always viewed nature as inspiration and a way to renew my spirit. I am a self-taught artist who has been nurtured by teachers, private lessons, and workshops. In 2005, a motorcycle accident changed my life and redirected me to pursue my art full time.

I have always painted and sold my work. I have displayed my work in art shows throughout Western Colorado, including: Glenwood Springs, Denver, Ouray, Crawford, and Grand Junction. A large portion of my work has been commissioned. Through these commissions I have broadened my scope of endeavor to include architectural elements of homes. I have been commissioned to paint domes, walls, kitchen elements, and pool and patio enclosures. Through this I have discovered a passion for murals and large canvases.

I have a passion for helping others and giving back to my community. From 1999-2005 and again in 2009, I have shared my talent on behalf of Charity for Hospice. This event raises money through the sale of themed chairs for the benefit of Hospice of Grand Junction.
